Hi Bunnies,
I haven’t done a 4 day pop up in a long time. I forget how much my feet hurts even two days later. How I have to take a daily nap and how I am a little shaky because my food patterns have changes from being up at 3/4 am each morning. Nonetheless, I had such a sweet time. The main reason I like Bagel Bunny is because I get to use it as a vehicle to spend time with people I care about. I met the nicest people this week and I hope to keep meeting more and new people. My dad flew in to help me and I am so grateful. Thank you to everyone who came. It is special to be able to share our mornings together.
Here was our menu in the end designed by Ivana @ Studio Saginova. I will make some changes+additions this week. The cheddar +jam and the tomato special did the best in sales.
Here is what else I loved:
Soba with lemons. I made these buckwheat noodles with a tsuyu broth and lemon juice. I was too lazy to go to the grill so I quickly pan toasted lemons before adding them to the bowl. Eat cold over ice with togarashi. One of my summer favorites.
My dad made sushi this night at out house, which I have no photos of but I took this photo of him and Drew at Wegmans shopping together and it is very sweet.
Our friend Jeffrey made us some miso cookies from Molly Baz. He said he messed this batch up but I thoroughly enjoyed them.
My friend Gabrielle made us a Anchovy and zucchini tart. Almost like a pissaladière but no onions and olives. I love this and will def be recreating.
My dad and I got This Bowl ( he had it twice). I had been anti- this bowl because it made me feel awful when I went to the soft opening. But I loved the OG chicken that I got and definitely will be back now. I can be so stubborn, once I don’t like something I am loyal to that belief. but I should always try again. Whether that is a lunch bowl or something more difficult.
Tonight I am going to my commitment group. We are eating at spicy moon, their mapo tofu MINUS the fake ground meat is my favorite in the city. The decor and energy of the space is a bit chaotic for my personal preference wile eating but that is alright. I crave this once a week and always have a burning tummy after but it is well worth it.
I hope you have a beautiful week. Come to 215 E 4th St. on Thurs, fri, and Sunday this week to hang with me xx
